Dr. Olivia "Baby" Cordero Dela Cruz passed away peacefully at home on July 19, 2021 after a 2 year fight with colon cancer. Through her struggle she showed us perseverance and strength. She was incredibly thoughtful and giving until her final breath.
Baby was born on March 15, 1946 to Concepcion and Sixto Cordero. She was the youngest of 6 children. She graduated as a Doctor of Optometry at Phillipine College. In 1969 she was the first of her family to come to the US and opened the door for her parents and siblings to immigrate.
Baby enjoyed watching her beloved Warriors, game shows, playing mahjong and was always ready to go to a casino. Every family get together she would be armed with a warm smile and a plateful of brownies.
She will always be remembered for her love of Elvis, wearing purple and the kind and selfless acts she gave to others throughout her life. Ever thoughtful and giving, she never hesitated to help when needed.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Peter, her loving daughter, Cherryl, her partner, Felicia, and her adoring grandchildren, Sophia and Calvin. She will be missed dearly by her siblings, nieces, nephews, grandkids, and countless family and friends that were graced with her warmth and love.
