Jose Rodrigues Pinheiro

Jose Rodrigues Pinheiro, 75 passed away on Friday September 16, 2022, in San Jose, CA, after a brave, short battle of Lung Cancer.  He was born on May 16, 1948,  in Faial, Azores.  He was the youngest and only boy of four children of Jose and Rosa Pinheiro.  He immigrated to the U.S. in the early 70’s and met his lovely wife Mary Pereira at a Portuguese dance. They married in 1973 and settled in San Jose, CA. He loved spending time with family, fishing, camping, cooking, going to his grandchildren’s events and going to the Portuguese Festas.  He loved learning how to do new things whether it was fixing cars or doing home projects. Jose’s presence, humorous, funny side and blue eyes will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Jose is survived by his loving wife, Mary Pinheiro, daughter, Lisa (Tony) Vargas of Hayward; son, John (Meghan) Pinheiro of Campbell; grandchildren, Aundria and Devin Vargas and Kayla and Owen Pinheiro; sisters, Liduina Garcia of Tarpon Springs, FL and Alzira Jorge of Fremont, CA;

Jose was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Rodrigues Pinheiro and Rosa Pinheiro Dutra; beloved sister Maria Regina Medeiros.
