May 3, 1950 ~ June 16, 2019 (age 69)


John Jacob lovingly called “Raju” was born on May 3, 1950, to the late A.C. John and Chinnamma John of Andiyathu Family (Ebenezer Bungalow), in Kappil, Krishnapuram, Kayamkulam.   He was the second child of three brothers and two sisters which included the Late Molly Jacob, Joseph John (Pappachan), the late Mrs. Mary John (Kunjumol), and the late William John (Lal). On May 26, 1976, he was united in holy matrimony to Mercy Jacob.

From 1974 -1994, John was a Professor of English at Birla College of Arts Science and Commerce in Kalyan, India. In 1994, John moved to California to begin a new life and permanent home and began a successful career at San Jose Job Corps as a Residential Manager.  In 2017 he retired from San Jose Job Corps after 23 years of service.  John was passionate about Education and Empowerment of young people to help them achieve great successes in life.

He was a member of Mar Thoma Church of Silicon Valley.

On June 16, 2019, John was called to his eternal abode.  He will be remembered for his loving and dedicated nature to all of those who have met him. John was a wonderful man who was loved, is missed, and will always be cherished. He worked hard all of his life and was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather.

John is survived by his loving wife Mercy, son Lloyd, daughter in law Blessy, daughter Pam, son in law Rajesh, and grandchildren, Faith, Addison, Zachary, Zaraya and Asher and all of his family and friends.
