Ann Farrell Jordan

Ann Farrell Jordan of east San Jose passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023 of natural causes. Ann was the owner, administrator and teacher of the Jordan Preschool located on Alum Rock Ave for 45 years. The Jordan Preschool was so popular that parents would put their unborn child on a waitlist to make sure there would be a spot for their child when it was time to start preschool. Ann made a lasting impression on her students and many were still friends up to her passing.

Ann’s education included the Modern School of Fashion Design in Boston, Fitchburg State College in Massachusetts and San Jose State University. She also belonged to the sisterhood Chapter DN, PEO of San Jose, Gamma Psi Chapter of San Jose and her bridge club for many years.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband, 1st Lieutenant Herbert Lee Jordan Jr. of San Jose, her parents, Samuel Thompson and Ruth Warren Farrell of Fitchburg, Massachusetts, her sisters, Elizabeth Farrell Crocker of Honolulu and Ruth Hesselgren of Burlingame and a nephew, Christopher Crocker of Santa Rosa.

Ann leaves behind 8 nephews and nieces; Cicely, David, Diana, and John Crocker and Timothy, Laura, Samuel and Matthew Hesselgren along with 10 grand nieces and nephews, 11 great grand nieces and nephews and 3 great grand nephews.

At Ann’s request, there will be no memorial service. Her burial will be next to her husband in the Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.
