Pam Wood joined Darling & Fischer over 15 years ago. From the very first day, she knew this was “her calling” in life. Before taking on the role of Managing Partner, Pam has been a funeral arranger, trainer, and ambassador. When asked what she does for a living, her first response will be “I am a final event coordinator.” She is always looking for special ways to honor the life that is being celebrated.
Pam has been married to Tim, her college sweetheart for also 40 years. Tim & Pam have traveled to many countries speaking and helping the poor. Locally, they volunteer in an after school program and many community events. They have 2 married children and 1 granddaughter- just ask her, she will show you the pictures.
Jeff is a former owner of Darling & Fischer and is still active in our business as a funeral director and consultant. His extensive experience and resources help us provide the best possible care and service for every family, every time.
Jeff is a 4th generation San Jose native. He has served 32 years on the school board for the Evergreen School District. He is a 35 year member of San Jose Rotary and past president of Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce. He and his wife, Peggy have been married 42 years. The have 3 sons and 6 grandchildren.
Tanya Silva is a first generation born in the United States, of Azorean and Portuguese decent. She graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School. Tanya is active in the Portuguese community. She began her career in hospitality, before finding funeral service to be the right fit. She finds great reward in helping families through there most difficult time. Bejinhos e Abraςos
Vanna Tran joined the Darling & Fischer Team in early 2018. She and her husband are natives of Vietnam moving to the USA 4 years ago. They started their own Dry Cleaning business, Art Cleaners in downtown San Jose.
Vanna is one of the most caring and compassionate persons you will ever meet. Her mission is to help families as they honor their loved one.
She enjoys reading, watching movies and weekly family gatherings.
Frank Quang Tong joined the Darling & Fischer staff in 2005. He enjoys working with Vietnamese families to make them feel comfortable and at peace, as well as serving as an Ambassador for all families.

Growing up in San Jose, Maria knew she either wanted to be a Marine or a Mortician. At a young age, she knew she had the passion for helping others and wanted to make a difference. Maria joined Darling & Fischer Mortuaries in 2016, while finishing her Mortuary Science degree. Eventually, Darling & Fischer Garden Chapel became her permanent home. Her eye for detail and her desire for families to have a lasting memory shows in the pride of her work.
In her spare time, she loves lounging with her 4 dogs and is an avid traveler.
Natasha is a native of San Jose and graduated from James Lick High School. She began her career with Darling & Fischer in February, 2016. She finds fulfillment in helping families in their time of need. When asked what she likes best about her job? She said "Families are so appreciative of all that we do for them."
She enjoys the beach, traveling or walking her corgi, Kali.
If not in San Jose, you will find Luis and his wife on Terceira, in the Azores. Their granddaughter is the light of their lives. Besides traveling and being avộ, Luis helps others and volunteers at Portuguese events.
Kathy Caballero was born and raised in San Jose, graduating from Andrew High School. She has worked in the nursing field for over 30 years. That career made her a perfect fit for Darling & Fischer. Her care and compassion flows over into the families that she serves.
She and her husband have 2 married children and 4 grandchildren. She is active in her church leading Bible Studies and counseling women.
Angelina is a native of California. Originally from Los Angeles, she moved to the Bay Area about 15 years ago with her family. Those who met Angelina would say that she is a kind soul with the energy level of a marathon runner.
Angelina joined Darling & Fischer in July 2016 as an ambassador. Now, she works with our care team to prepare loved ones for their eternal rest. Her love for people translates into her work as she diligently takes care to make sure that dignity is preserved for each and every person that we have the honor to care for.
Angelina is an active member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. When not at work, she enjoys jogging and spending time with her children.
Faial, Azores was where Carlos met his wife, Rosa. It still holds a special place in his heart. He enjoys woodwork, and hosting backyard BBQ's. Carlos provides exceptional care to all his families.
Dan was born and lived his entire life in San Jose except for a few years while in the US Air Force. He returned to San Jose to marry his wife Jan and raised two children Robert and Danyell. He became an integral part of the Bay Area’s technology companies working for Memorex, Amdahl, and Northrup Grumman where he served as programmer, manager, and business systems project management. Towards the end of his career, Dan worked for Adobe Systems, Calpine, Visa, and HP in a variety of technology related positions. Dan retired early only to perform his most meaningful job, caregiver for his ailing parents. Shortly after that, a position with Darling Fischer as Ambassador was accepted and is fully enjoying that line of work for the past 3 ½ years.
Connie was born in Pico, Azores. She has lived in the Bay Area for 30 years with her husband. She has been active in the Portuguese community all of her life. Connie came to know Darling and Fischer intimately when she lost first her father and then her mother years later. She has always had a passion for caring for others so it made sense that she would choose to help people during the most difficult of times. After her personal experience with Darling and Fischer, she was quite impressed with their level of dignity and kindness. When the opportunity presented itself, she was delighted to become a part of the Darling & Fischer team.
Jessica is from the central valley, Fresno, CA. She moved to the Bay Area in 2010 and currently lives in San Jose with her husband Tim. She is from Mexican decent and is the first generation in her family to be born in America. She has always had a passion for event planning and helping people. When she stumbled upon Darling Fischer in 2016, she learned funeral service was the perfect fit. She loves being able to care for a family who is grieving and create a positive experience that they’ll never forget. Jessica is involved in the Bay Area community by singing in local bands and is always willing to offer a helping hand for community service events.
Greg works with his wife Irene as fellow ambassadors, having worked at Darling Fischer since 2015. He is a retired police sergeant with San Jose PD and a volunteer pastor at Evergreen Valley Church. He is also active with the Police Chaplaincy and enjoys riding his motorcycle with the Patriot Guard - a group of riders who escort soldiers and their families for various events. The Trapp's are parents to Ben and Rachael, both recently married.
Irene works with her husband Greg as ambassadors for Darling Fischer. They've been with Darling Fischer for two years now. She is a musician - vocalist and violinist - an actress in local theatre and volunteers with Joni and Friends, a ministry to families affected by disability. Irene also enjoys singing on worship team at Evergreen Valley Church. The Trapp's are parents to Ben and Rachael, both recently married.
Chuck Walton is a San Jose native and lives in Campbell with his wife, Liz. They have 4 children and 11 grandchildren. Chuck began working with Darling Fischer in 2013 after spending 3 years with his wife serving as missionaries in Portugal and Angola. Chuck learned Portuguese in his youth while serving as a missionary in Brazil. After returning from another mission in Africa from 2015 through 2016, Chuck and Liz started working with Darling & Fischer where they enjoy serving members of our community during an often difficult and emotional time.
Liz has lived in California since she was 8-years old. She has also lived in Portugal, Angola, and South Africa. She and her husband, Chuck, have 4 children and almost 13 grandchildren. They love to hike and camp especially in Yosemite or Lake Tahoe. Liz joined Darling & Fischer early in 2017 as a way to serve individuals and families in the community.
Cindy is ready with a smile or a hug when you walk in the door. She has a huge servant heart making her perfect for the role of ambassador.
Native Oklahoman, Sam and his family moved to Campbell in the 60’s. Coming from a very large family, the baby of 13 children, Sam has known great joy and great grief, making him perfect for his role at Darling & Fischer. He joined our team in 2004. Sam is a member of Venture Christian Church and stays active in volunteer work. He is always ready to lend a hand. A nicer guy you will never meet!
